Frank Monaco Jones/Snead Champion Tournament Champion |

Frank Monaco Player of the Month Aprill 2011 |
Could this be Franks Monaco’s year? If his performance at the Naples Shootout at heritage bay is any indicator then the answer is YES!
This was Frank’s 105th career start on tour over a 12 year span. Of those starts Frank has scoring average of 98.9 and has broken 90 only 6 times with a career low of 87. On Sunday Frank broke 90 for the 7th time by shattering his career low round by 4 strokes. Thats right if you are following the math Frank shot an 83.
Furthermore this is Frank’s 3rd time in the 2011 season he has shot in the 80’s, he is the first player in 2011 to win his flight 6 times, the 2nd player to be awarded Tournament Champion for the 2nd time, and with the 637 Player of the year points earned on Sunday he has leaped both Shauna Federico and Mark Lott to take over 1st place with a slim margin of 239 points. This years race for Player of the year is the tightest it has ever been and with only three local events left it is still up for grabs.
At the young age of 63 Frank is defying all the laws of aging and is just getting better with time.

Todd Eldredge Championship/Palmer Winner |
In the Championship/Palmer Flight Todd Eldredge recorded his 2nd victory of the year with only 4 starts. which is Old “Tigerish” with a 50% winning percentage. Todd ad a one stoke lead after 9 over Mark Lott, Jeff True and Alan Catlin. The matched continued to be close with several lead changes all they way into 18 when Todd held a one stroke lead over Mark Lott. But Todd opened the door by scoring a bogey on the 322 yard short 18th hole for Mark to tie with a par or win with a Birdie. But The door closed when Mark recorded a triple bogie giving Todd the Victory.

Terry Willie Hogan/Sarazen Champion |
The Hogan/Sarazen flight was another exciting match. It was a tale of two nines. Justin Hanna’s 38 on the front nine took the lead by two stroke over Hugh Koerner. Hugh took the lead after a birdie on 11 and then Justin regained the lead on 14 and kept the lead going into the 18th hole. Out of nowhere Terry Willie posted a 38 on the back nine giving him the club house lead of 81. Justin needed a bogie to tie or par or better to win. again on the the short 295 yard par 4 18th Justin recorded a triple bogie giving Terry Willie the two Stroke Victory
