Lott wins a Lot

  BIG, BIG, BIG, BIG Day for Championship Flight Member Mark Lott at the Links Open and Westminster Golf Club on Sunday February 13th 2011. 
Mark Lott had a record day at the Links Open at Westminster Golf Club by Recording the Lowest Gross score of the 2011 season with a even par 72. His score gave him a 5 stoke Victory over Canadian Mike Bondy and Ft. Myers/Naples Member Jerry Doyle in the Championship/Palmer flight. His score also awarded him the Tournament  Champion Trophy and awarded him the Biggest payout of the 2011 season with a total of $804.00. If that isnt enouph for one day play on the golf course Mark Lott also earned a total of 1,114 Player of the Year Points vaulting him from third place on the standings to 1st place with a 708 point lead over Senior Snead Flight Member Frank Monaco who has held the 1st place position on the standings for the past 8 weeks.
In other notable performances long time GCAm West Palm Member Shauna Federico won the Sarazen Flight with a score of 83 winning by 5 strokes over a third way tie for 2nd with Mike Bresnahan, Blain Lytle and Hugh Koerner. 
In the Hogan and Jones/Snead Flights it was new members making their 2011 debut rememberable ones with victories. Canadian Al Duncan shot and 81 and won by two strokes over Marc Shapiro in the Hogan Flight while Pat Maguire from Marco Island shot an 83 to win by 5 over Clyde Foster in the Jones/Snead Flight.
